My 1st Mother's Day

First of all, I have to apologize for not posting in about 2 months!!! Lily has been born and is almost 7 weeks old! I guess you could say my schedule has been a little bit busier around here since we added a baby to the equation. No longer is my time my own (and I have a feeling it won't be for at least the next 18 years!). But so far it has been so much fun being a mommy. The pictures above are from my 1st Mother's day. A little cheesy, but Lily and I wore matching outfits! I thought it was fun! In the pictures where I am holding her, you can barely see her, she blends in with my dress so well! It has been so fun to get to dress her up. She is a mini-me! I know you are all wondering if you will ever see Casey matching us girls, but I'm pretty sure he told me not to even think about it!

Baby Shower!!!

On February 7th, I was so blessed to have 2 of my best friends, Melissa and Jen, throw me a FABULOUS baby shower! They had it at the beautiful home of Sheila & Waenard Miller in Frisco. The invitations were just adorable and fit my personality & baby room colors perfectly! They catered from Celebrity bakery (one of my Mom and I's favorite places to lunch!) and everything was just delish! Everything was decorated in pink and black! So cute! They even made 2 diaper cakes that were just so sweet! We played a celebrity baby matching game, don't say the word "baby", and then at the end everyone wrote down their advice or sweet words for the baby which were tied to balloons and let go at the end! I was so happy to have all of our friends and family there! It was a great day and I couldn't have asked for anything more! Plus I'm pretty sure Lily now has a headband to match every outfit (thanks to Meme) and a tutu for every day of the week! She is going to be one well dressed baby! :)

33 Week 3D Sonogram

Little Lily Grace! 33 weeks along...Part of Casey's Christmas gift to me was a 3D/4D sonogram session! An amazing gift! So we decided to get it done the weekend of our baby shower since both sets of Casey's parents were able to come into town. My parents came too! It was a very special 20 minute preview of our little girl. The 1st picture actually shows her yawning! Then the 2nd pic shows her smiling. The 3rd pic she is frowning because the technician was trying to mess with my belly to get her to move her arm. She was not happy! In the 4th pic you can really see that she has some chubby cheeks! She is also rubbing her eyes. It is so amazing how cute she looks already and what she can already do in there! We also caught her sucking on her arm. So exciting! We can't wait to meet her in person now! God is so amazing to give us this little precious gift.

Work Baby Shower for Lily

On Friday, January 30th, my co-workers threw me a fabulous work baby shower for Lily! It was so fun! There was pink & black everywhere. They ordered a special cake & cupcakes from Stein's bakery in Dallas, made 4 diaper cakes that spelled out Lily's name, and even had special little pink party favors. Everything was so cute! I am so lucky to work with such thoughtful people! We also got some great gifts! Most of which, I'm sure Casey still doesn't know how they work. :)
